Hallo vrienden en bekenden, even een kleine update.
Alle muziek gaat als een speer en vooral The Busquito's. zitten enorm in de lift.
Na een zeer succesvol optreden op het Bloemencorso vliegen de optredens binnen.
Het ene Jazzfestival na het andere meldt zich aan. Erg leuk!
En natuurlijk een heel vol Oerolprogramma in de planning met eerst een paar dagen met Arthur en daarna met The Busquito's..
Check de giglist voor meer details. Ook druk met Herman en Bart Edel als nieuwe gitarist aan het oefenen. En met hen een te gek wielrenlied opgenomen. Hier De dood Of De Gladiolen op Youtube. Let op het prachtige gitaarwerk van Bart. Super!

Niet mijn sterkste kant deze blog bijhouden....
Wat is het nieuws.... Juli: erg leuk tourtje Denemarken met Arthur gedaan.
Augustus:Te gek festival in Ferrara gedaan met The Busquitos.
September: Tourtje met Arthur naar Ierland gedaan. Erg succesvol.
November: Net een erg leuke tourtje in Nederland met Ben Reel gedaan. Z'n nieuwe CD heeft al een heleboel goede recensies gehad. April komt ie weer.
CD van Boyd bijna af. Wordt uitgebracht bij het Duitse 'Crosscut'label. Tourtje met Marc Tee als gast in December.
10 Januari 2010 gaan we de nieuwe Busquitos CD opnemen. Live bij de Piedpiper in Haarlem 14.00 uur en jullie kunnen erbij zijn.....
Net een optreden met Boyd op The Isle Of Man binnengekomen op 13 maart....
Lijkt me erg leuk!
Kortom... hij gaat wel lekker. Tot vlug(ger dan de vorige)

Juni alweer...
Hoe de tijd toch vliegt.
Albert Niland's tour was een groot succes.
Boyd z'n nieuwe cd komt eind van t jaar uit en beloofd een echte gitaristenplaat te worden.
Oerol komt er weer aan met optreden van Arthur en Boyd.
Arthur's nieuwe cd is uit en klinkt te gek.
EN!!!
M'n nieuwe band The Busquito's. heeft z'n eerste optredens gedaan in Duitsland.
Tjonge wat waren we goed. Binnenkort ook in Nederland en Italie te bewonderen.

Let's start off with a few important dates...
Albert Niland will have his CD-Launch of "The Hungry Ghost" on the 1st of April in Amsterdam. Look at the Albert page for more info on his tour in April and May.
Ben Reel do a two weeks tour the first weeks of April in Holland and Boyd and Bart and me will join him this tour. Check Ben's Ártists'page voor de dates.
Cd's by Herman and Arthur are launched and there are a lot of good reviews on "Niet in de Winkel Verkrijgbaar". Check Herman's website. for more info(in Dutch...).
Boyd Small is working on a new cd.
The Busquito's. have managed to find gigs abroad only thusfar.... Germany, Poland and an offer from a festival in Canada in August.... Let's try to find a few in Nederland.

Let's catch up!
Been busy giggin' in Holland and recording with 4 of my bands the last few months.
My debut as a lead singer with a new band called The Busquito's. Featuring Thomas Streutgers-sax, Jelle van Tongeren-violin and Daniel Versteegh-guitar. Really loved recording with this band, great musicians, fantastic atmosphere! The recordings, 13 songs, (you can hear a few on myspace) were all recorded live and mixed in 2 days.
The CD's by Herman Pouderoyen (De Ideale Schoonzoon) and Arthur Ebeling (The Handsome Devil are finished. Both cd's will be released in February. Keep an eye(ear) out for them, they're both very well recorded and have brilliant songs on them.
Recorded live with Boyd Small in Amsterdam. Not enough material yet for a new cd but recording went really well. Rocky blues stuff with an international line-up. Mark T from België, Roelof Meijering, Jasper Mortiers and myself from The Netherlands, Kai Strauss (Memo Gonzalez Band) from Germany and Boyd and Josh Fulero from the USA.

Hi you all,
Another update, it's been awhile....
Did a very succesful tour with the Boyd Small Band enforced with Josh Fulero. Enthousiastic reactions everywhere. Josh will return to the States soon, but he'll be back. Perhaps even this year.
Very busy with recording new Herman Pouderoyen songs. He keeps writing hilarious and beautiful songs, too bad if you can't speak Dutch.... His new CD is coming this year!
DoubleBassProductios started to do bookings for Albert Niland in November. Brilliant guitarist and singer from Ireland.
I booked him for the famous Naked Song Festival 31st of May in Eindhoven.
Arthur's new CD is almost finished, he will be touring in Spain in April for three weeks.

A quick update, after a mad month of August.
Between giggin'busy organising a tour with the Boyd Small Band enforced with Josh Fulero. Just found out Josh played with Bo Diddley, the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Steve Miller, a.o.
The Tour will start in the beginning of november and last untill mid-December.

Hi there. Busy weeks....Gigs practically every day.
Was in Germany with Arthur Ebeling. Did a 6 gig tour with Ben Reel.
Great guy! if you missed him check him out the next time he comes over.
And of course the new CD of Boyd Small. Did a wonderful CD- in Plein 79 in Den Bosch.
Made Boyd a website of his own. Check it out at BoydSmall.nl.
The first few reviews start coming in and there are only very positive reactions.
Schelde Jazz tomorrow and with the "Haarlem Horns" up to Denmark in a few weeks.
All this of course after 8 Oerol gigs, with Arthur and Herman.

It was recorded studio live in Portland , Oregon August 1st 2006 in the middle of a heat wave. You can hear the steam coming off the fretboards.
Ex-patriot and Portland native Boyd Small returned to the great northwest and rounded up the cream of the crop.
Boyd plays drums and sings. Willy Barber (Lloyd Jones band) plays bass . On guitars are Monti Amundson, Peter Damman (Paul Delay Band), Josh Fulero (Curtis Salgado Band) and Lloyd Jones.

Back on track after a few weeks of flu and pneumonia.
Irish tour with Arthur was a big succes. Happy faces everywhere . With the help of Thomas Streutgers who played his saxophone brilliantly. Big chance we'll go back before the end of the year.
Discovered some new talent in Ireland as well: Ben Reel.. Great singer with dito songs. He will be coming to Holland in May. His CD `New Horizons` will be released soon.
Boyd's CD "Diamond Boy" is ready. Will be doing a few nice shows with him. One in Denmark!
Myriam Gaasbeek's single "You're gonna get there" is to be released the end of the month. Will go with Arthur to the east of Germany in May.
Oerol festival in June with Herman and Arthur.
Still going strong! See y'all soon!

That was a long time ago......
Everything runs smoothly down here.
Boyd´s Cd "Diamond Boy" will be released at the Rounder-label, I expect a lot of spinn-off there .
Arthur´s tour to Ireland is going as planned. 13 venues in 13 days. We will see a lot of very special places.
The Unfringed festival in Limerick, a few nice bluesclubs, a theatre and two of my favorite pubs, DeBarra´s in Clonakilty and The Blackbird in Ballycotton. I've played those places before and I have very good memories of those shows.
Coming along this tour is Thomas Streutgers on saxophone, who was a big help organising the whole thing too.
Myriam's new single is about to be released, and Arthur has plans for a new CD.
In short: The new year holds lots of promises!

Back again!
Still nothing but good news.
The preparations for Jesus Christ Superstar are going great. Sorry, Sold out.
Boyd came back from the states and recorded an album there with heroes of the Portland Blues scene. It will be called "Diamond Boy" and is being mixed and mastered this week.
Busy myself organizing a little tour for Arthur Ebeling in February to Ireland.
We have 6 options in thus far, so no complaints there either.
Just did a few nice shows with Myriam Gaasbeek. She will record a new single for Columbia soon. Great song!

Here's a short message to tell you that after a busy but very satisfying month of June with 25(!!!) gigs the more quiet month of July has arrived. Still a nice Festival with Stooom! in Veelerveen and a number of gigs with Herman on "De Parade" .

In August a few weeks of well deserved rest for a fresh start in September.

Well, ended 4th with Herman. But to be honest, Jeroen Bouwhuis was the best. International mime-act. Brilliant!
In the mean time there are plans for new CD's by Arthur and Boyd. They'll start recording at the end of this year.
Gigs keep pouring through the telephone. 17 in June only I believe...
Special gig with Arthur as last band to play at the Jazz in Duke Town festival in Den Bosch right after "Toets" Tielemans. Isn't that great? And two other blues festivals in Lobith and Wijnegem (Belgium) at the end of April
National television show coming up with Myriam this month.
Busybusybusy. I'll keep you posted.

Long time no hear!
That's what you get from playing all this Dutch stuff.
Busy days with the Dutch theatre competition that we entered with Herman. Semifinals already. Tough competition from guys like: Coen Jutte, Jeroen Bouwhuis and Maarten.
Been asked to accompany Myriam Gaasbeek.
Myriam has written the beautiful song "The Gods must be crazy" And that song has become the title song to a new Dutch movie called " I embrace you with a thousand arms".
8 Gigs already at the famous Oerol Festival with Arthur and Herman.

Hi everybody, Billy Jones was great fun to play with.. What a showman!
But then.....
Went to hospital and hed surgery on my knee.
The knee still is a little stiff but they assured me that I'll be able to walk again in 4 weeks, running again in 6 and playing football in 8 months. (Can't a musician have a hobby too?)
So the little tour to Ireland had to be postponed to April.
A lot of gigs this month. Thank God for good friends such as Bart and Lucette who drive me to and from the gigs as I can't drive for three weeks.
A few nice big Bluesfestivals with Boyd, a few with the ol' Irish connection (Marc Gilligan, Noel Shannon, Paul Martin)and the first ever gig of the R&B's (Ronald Bart and Bert) playing their favourite covers.
Enough to be looking forward to....

Dearly beloved...,
It has been two very busy months.
First there was Herman's Cd-launch and then of course Christy Moore's show in Bergen op Zoom
Two lovely weeks Holiday to sunny (sorry....) Italy, followed by 18 gigs in three weeks.
The Parkconcerts as well as the gig with Arthur Ebeling in "de Rustende Jager" on Terschelling were special dates to remember.
But lets get bak to Christy first for I could never have done the organisation without the help of Mark Gilligan of Poucha Promotions and Henk of the Celtic Shop in Bergen op Zoom.
Thanks a lot guys. You were great!
.Christy and his manager were very pleased and I had a lot of positive reactions afterwords.
We're very busy promoting Herman's CD right now.
